Pete Finnigan (born 1963) is a database security specialist (Oracle database) from the United Kingdom.
Pete is the author of the SANS Oracle Security Step-by-step guide versions 1 and 2. The SANS step-by-step guide was also used as a basis for the centre for Internet Security Oracle Security Benchmark which along with the step-by-step is now used worldwide to secure Oracle databases from intrusion. Pete is also author of the SANS S.C.O.R.E security check list, 2004 for the Oracle database. Pete is also one of the co-authors of the recent Oracle Expert Practices book published by Apress. Pete also wrote the forward for Ron Ben-Natans book "How to secure and audit Oracle 10g and 11g".
Pete has written many articles and papers on Oracle security published via his web site and he speaks regularly around the world on the subject of Oracle security at security conferences such as Black Hat and RISK and UKOUG and NOUG and PSOUG and many more.
Pete Finnigan is the founder and CEO of PeteFinnigan.com Limited, a company specialized in Oracle security.
